Once was certainly wetter... in more ways than one.

I loved it by the way.

Can't get wetter than Deep Ones haha. Reading Necronomicon: The Best Weird Tales of HPL at the moment (got it out of library) if only to compare the audio stuff I've been listening to. A 40 minute version of ATMOM!!! Truncated isn't the word.

Finished The City & The Stars, yet another "man is a speck of nowt" tale fae AC Clarke, there seems to be a theme here, as Old Howie's philosophy isn't that dissimilar in outlook really.....

Once was the first James Herbert book I've read and I loved it.

Recently I've been reading Nightmare Magazine on my Nook that I got in a bundle on the VODO website.

Just finished Ballard's "Kingdom Come". A sly look at modern Britain minus any hope or glory. Fantastic stuff, I'll be using my copy as kindling the next time I hit the mall.

Just finished reading a book on notorious mafia head, Tommy "Karate" Pitera. A few moments ago I started reading #67 of SFX: The Ultimate Guide To Horror. Excellent so far! I was in the UK last weekend with the family for a few days and I had the good fortune to pick up the latest edition of SFX. Glad I did cause it's bloody brilliant!

Angry is the word, I loved how you could tell certain ideas pissed Ballard off by his near obsessive need to endlessly talk about them. At first I thought it was a style thing but as the book progressed, I thought nope, the man is hammering his point home. Just started "The Drowned World".

I'm still plugging away at Lovecrafts Mountains Of Madness, I've been trying to get through this one story on and off for weeks.
It's easily the worst piece of Lovecrafts work I've read and I'm finding it a chore.
