I really wanted to watch the National Theatre productions at the cinema, with Jonny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch playing Victor Frankenstein and The Creature and then switching over. My parents went and said it was superb.

The new Fortean Times has a feature on the occultists involved in the making of Nosferatu.

Recently finished Viv Albertine's (formerly of punk group The Slits) autobiography Clothes, Music, Boys which wasn't at all what I expected - recommended for those interested in the punk scene of the late 70's.

I also read Paul McAulay's latest offering Something coming through which continues his move away from hard sic-fi in the direction of a more police procedural/thriller near future sci-fi. I like McAualys work a lot and so this is also recommended.

I have the first four. I've never read any of them...they are great at keeping doors open though.

Based on the size of the books you could easily use them as paperweights

Mine are hardbacks. I got them from the Sci-Fi Book Club when you couldn't move for their 12 books for 1p each flyers in the good old days.

Funny how the first book for Game of Thrones came out nearly 20 years ago, but it's popularity only sky rocketed when the (superb) TV series kicked off.
