I love it as what it is, a throwback to Ray Harryhausen and fantasy epics, but it's clear that Yeowell's art failed it on the last few runs. The Battle for the Belly of the Beast and Fire Above the Deep should have been epic, full of detail like in the storys collected here. Alas they came off as small skirmashes that had no bearing on anything that happened.
"Ha! I have a zombie army!"
"Well I have a robot army!"
"Jokes on you, I have giant zombies!"
"BOOM! Sorry, giant robots you see!"
"**** you I have a magical whip made out of my own hair!"
"Sailor Moon, is that you?"

Oh, I liked it more than most, but it deffinetly lost something that these early outing had and it's nice to see them collected. I wouldn't say no to a second collection, yet I got this one for 1p new so I don't think it's selling very well.

Just finished this. It is so-oo good that I read it far too quickly 'cos I could not stop turning the pages to see what was coming. Highly, highly recommended 15/10

The Yage Letters Redux by William S Burroughs & Allen Ginsberg.

As travel books go, this is as useful as The Great Shark Hunt , but is still an entertaining, if hairraising read at time. Inspired by Huxley's example, WSB sets out to find a mythical plant which unlocks supposed telepathic powers when imbibed. If only Jackanory was still on haha.....

Just finished Paul J McAuley's book of short stories The Invisible Country. All were pretty good but my favourite was Dr. Luther's Assistant. An ever so creepy tale of sex dolls and the ultimate pleasure.

I've read Doctor Who and the Daleks several times before but its always a great read especially as David Whitaker's first forty or so pages are completely different to the tv episodes and try and incorporate a brand new story instead of the televised An Unearthly Child as an introduction to the characters.

I'm currently around a fifth into Clive Barker's The Damnation Game. According to Amazon, i purchased the book in 2002 and this is my first reading of it.

I still have "The Watchmen" on a back burner, am just about to finish "X-Men: Imperial" and go onto "House of M" graphic novels, whilst beneath the bed lurks a series of quite adult graphic novels based on the tales of the Brothers Grimm and a few "2000AD" graphic novels.

On the comic, weekly and monthly, side I am now on; "2000AD" (of course), "Judge Dredd the Meggazine", "Dial H", "Batman: The Dark Knight", "Incredible Hulks", "Iron Man", "Clint", "Hellraiser: Dark Watch" and Comic Heroes mag to find out all the news in comic land.

I know that I've pushed this one before but I've just read it again and it's even better after a couple of weeks:

Give it a try, you won't regret it!
