It can't be that good if you are using it to beat insomnia!

I've listened to it to fall asleep and for entertainment during the day. There's something about lying awake with thoughts going around in your head which can be distracted by an audiobook, allowing the tiredness to take over and me to fall asleep.

I'd be thinking whilst listening during the day "****ing hell! I've never got past this point before at night"

It’s probably to do with Stephen Fry’s voice which is very calming!!

Been there, done that!

And yet, those books are still good for both entertainment and soporific purposes. Some people can fall sleep to the news, a nature documentary narrated by David Attenborough and even Bob's Burgers, all things they also enjoy when sleep is not the objective.

The Vampires Night Orgy is my go-to sleeping method and has been for months if needed.

I can recite the first ten minutes or so like you'd never believe.

No idea how it ends mind you.

Having just finished the last season of Versailles thought I'd give Desmond Sewards 'The Bourbon Kings of France' a go. Not bad so far, although he does tend to rush from one event to another.
