Finished Sweetheart, Sweetheart by Bernard Taylor. Cracking little ghost story with a surprise (and nasty) ending I only partially saw coming.

Now moving on to one of John Blackburn's espionage/horror mash-ups - Broken Boy

Retromania by Simon Reynolds.
Here we go again . Covering everything from "mashups" to retreads of all kinds (reissuing older material , hauntology, reunions etc etc) this has a slightest air of grumpiness to it ... "Eeeh, twere all ferric chrome cassettes in MY day" etc. I agree with some of it, other parts equally educate and annoy just like all his books do tbh

I really liked this. Aside from one or two Books of Blood tales i think it's my favourite of Barkers novels.

It's not quite 'The Damnation Game', or 'The Hellbound Heart', but I am enjoying it a lot.

The last time I read Good Omens, which was earlier this year, I think I finished it in three days. It's a great read, which is often hilarious, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
