Am I the only one that thinks that a big budget Call of Cthulu with someone like Peter Jackson directing, would kick the arse out of all the mediocre pish that we have to put up with today?

G del Toro tried to put together At The Mountains Of Madness a while back, he's the Lovecraft fan.

I think he said something along the lines of that the Studios wouldn't support a budget large enough to make it how it should be since Lovecraft is such a niche name and not popular enough. Which is a shame.

If someone like Del Toro can't get producers on board then not many others would have better luck.

Sadly true. Though sometimes a massive budget isn't required, from what I've seen of the German Colour Out Of Space, it seems like a faithful enough adaptation.....
