Darkside mag didn't like Suspiria remake

Apparently Rick's latest cover, based on 'Re-Animator', has been rejected because it was thought it would be '...too raunchy for news-stands'!

That's a shame, as I think it would make a great cover. Much better than the overly busy 'heads' covers of late.

I agree, but maybe they are hoping to sell it on content rather than looks - 'The Devil Rides Out', Coffin Joe, 'Rosemary's Baby', 'Halloween' and 'Cannibal Holocaust' are all guaranteed to drag in the 'casual' reader

As we have mentioned elsewhere on the forum, a poor Stephen King cover will still sell shedloads because people are attracted to the name of the author
