Definitely brightens this place up. Peter Cushing (above) can't believe you've been absent from here all this time.

Any chance you could post a larger pic of the Jayne Mansfield portrait that was shown in miniature in the latest DS?
Here you go, Dem; nice earrings!

I really liked your cover for Shameless' release of The Sect (a film that's always had less than inspiring artwork) and have actually recently picked up the Blue Underground releases of Eugenie, Marquis de Sade's Justine and Venom - all of which sport covers by you. It's nice to see you still working with cult labels.
Shameless and Blue Underground are nice people to work for. I did a painting of Edwige Fenech being licked by a goat for Shameless's Top Sensation release but they went with something else; I really can't think why! They went with my The Sect design though, although they cropped out the Kelly Curtis portrait which turned out to be a good idea. The best cover I did for Blue Underground was Venom. Their art director, Chip, came back to me and said "Um, Rick. It's nice but Susan George is only in her underwear for two seconds and the snake is black, not green." I bitched about making changes because it was all done in oil and they went with it. At Shameless I deal with a lady called Charlotte. She never talks dirty or anything but I always imagine her to be really hot. She requested four changes to The Sect and I did 'em all!

You may need to re-think this one!

On first viewing, my eyes were drawn to the guy's denim-clad bottom

Very homoerotic!!!!!

(However, if that was the intention, then I applaud you)

Thanks, Rick. That's excellent.

It's from one of the sexiest, sluttiest and funniest scenes from Hollywood's history, and in a restaurant rather than a movie.

Sophia Loren's face is a picture in itself, especially the one where she can't help having a look.

Hi Guys,
Here's a couple of paintings I did this week that you might enjoy. The Crawling Eye (AKA The Trollenberg Terror) is a film I have real soft spot for. Back in '62 I was living in Montana and I watched this on TV with some pals while our house was being engulfed in a snow storm. We were snowed in for days and must have watched every cack horror film ever made as it was the height of the 'horror host' monster craze. Needless to say I really enjoyed painting this although I had to sex up the critter a bit to make it look more like a monster and less like a Muppet!
Horror Express is a Dark Side cover submission. When I throw off a good one I get an email back which says "well done". If I XXXX one up I don't hear anything back at all. So far today I've heard nothing! I think it looks great; please tell me you agree!

The Dark Side should have sent a limo to take you and your good wife to the swankiest restaurant with the tab on them, so good is that Horror Express art.

The Trollenberg Terror is also really good and it's a film i love.

Thanks Dem, but it'll be more like a Maruti Suzuki to Spud-U-Like!
