My favourite King book has got to be NIGHT SHIFT closely followed by NIGHTMARES AND DREAMSCAPES.
I prefer the short, sharp kick in the nuts stories from his earlier days.

I've read both countless times, the stories never date.
Just don't mention the TV adaps of Nightmares and Dreamscapes.

WTF did they do to Crouch End?

I thought that first episode of Nightmares and Dreamscapes was excellent - the one with the guy in his apartment at war with the toy soldiers.

Pity it all went downhill from there.

Yeah Battleground was great with William Hurt.

You know they got a hell of a band wasn't bad either.

I'd completely forgotten that one until you mentioned it. Yes, that was good, a place where all the dead musicians played together.

Is there a Stephen King films thread? If so I don't know where it is.

https://ew.com/tv/2019/09/19/the-sta...g-mick-garris/

Article about the new HD restoration of The Stand, purists beware, as the SFX were originally done straight onto the editing tape it can never be HD so they have been redone using modern methods. Personally I don't have a problem with it, they did the same with the Star Trek TNG blurays.

As long as it’s not like The Devil Rides Out, I’m not bothered by it
