I wonder if SHAM31 has been saved as an ANNIVERSARY EDITION of something ... hence the 31 ... hmmmm, 30 or 31 years ago? There were a lot of titles around then that would be genre specific and of course popular!

Unfortunately the cat number isn't that relevant... Although it would be cool if it was! This title was always going to be SHAM031, simply because it followed on from SHAM030 - The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh. Although the title has now been put back, Shameless had to keep the cat number.

So no hidden codes there... Sorry!

Not in the UK unless you want a heavily censored version. Although I don't like animal cruelty, I feel it is such a part of that film, the viewing experience and the power that cutting it down strips the film of its true nature: to horrify and disgust.

Shameless have been impressed with the fervour to which you've all taken to this thread although they expected nothing less from their fans! In return for your enthusiasm, they've kindly said that if anyone guesses (or has already guessed) the correct title before it's announced, they will win a free copy of SHAM031 upon its release.

They also added that they are in no way deliberately prolonging the agony of waiting for the announcement. They know you're all as eager to find out what it is as they are to announce what it is and, they'd have loved to have been able to announce it by now. It's just that some important details are taking longer to confirm than they'd like. You should hear some news fairly soon though.

My guess is it's a European film, most likeley Italian, made somewhere between 1960 and 1989.

How about some simple hints, Sarah? Like...

- Is it supernatural or reality-based (ie, monsters/witchcraft/magic or killers/murderers/cops)?

- Is it related to anything Shameless has released before, perhaps by director?
