I don't disrespect Peter Jackson as a director at all in fact i think Heavenly Creatures is a fantastic film. All i was saying were B T & B D were not my cup of tea so to speak. but with the budget and fx team he had for the Rings trilogy and king kong it would be hard not to make those films that he did.

Its mainly the actors and directors that get all the credit.... the fx and special effects there more work put in to films with these ppl and sometimes they dont get the credit they deserve...and without these ppl praticaly most films would struggle to get to get made

Just watched the 1975 film Killer Snakes. It would be a very serious problem for the BBFC if it was ever to be submitted.

I'm guessing it woud be cut for animal cruelty?

I watched SS Hell Camp/ Beast in Heat the other night; it was great fun. Cant see it passing the bbfc without cuts. Although i dont think they would be as excessive as some think.

And sexual violence and also sexualised torture.

Certainly one of the most disturbing films I've seen.

Just watched a clip from the 1936 Charge of the Light Brigade and the amount of horse trips was unbelievable! It's no wonder it hasn't been submitted to the BBFC for DVD.

Passed uncut on video in 1986 but would have problems today.

The Wind And The Lion was pulled from video because the director refused to make the horsefall cuts.

Dindn't Milius and one the stuntmen claim that there was no cruelty?

Which is a load of bull! There are some horsefalls on the trailer that are clearly achieved by using trip wires.

Even the trailer for the proposed video was cut.

Milius claimed the same thing for Conan The Barbarian which was/is also cut for horsefalls.

Yeah, they wanted to sue the BBFC for defamation!
