Default Christmas #15 - Dragon Wasps - FINISHED

Hi again everyone,

Today's prize is the excellent (as in so bad it's GENIUS) killer animal film, Dragon Wasps!

Here's all the info...

Dragon Wasps

Predator” meets “Eight Legged Freaks” in this terrifying jungle terror from the writer of “Sand Sharks

Key talent:

Written by fast-becoming genre connoisseur Mark Atkins (Sand Sharks), the film stars Corin Nemec (Stargate SG-1; Smallville; Supernatural), Dominika Juillet (Dark Angel), Benjamin Easterday (Stargate SG1; Fast & Furious 5) and Nikolette Noel who’s set to star in the 2012 Summer Blockbuster “The Expendables 2”.

Synopsis:

When a clue arises as to the whereabouts of her scientist father, three months after he inexplicably disappeared on an expedition deep in the heart of the Belize rainforest, entomologist Gina Humphries and her impassioned assistant Rhonda set out on a makeshift rescue mission. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to them the land they’re desperate to cross is Government protected and without the correct documentation they subsequently find themselves stopped dead in their tracks and whisked away to the hands of officer John Hammond. Due to the ongoing feud between the US Army and the rainforest’s guerrilla military, lead by the notorious Jaguar, Hammond agrees to escort Gina and Rhonda to her desired destination as one last escapade with his team before his retirement. When their convoy is ambushed by Jaguar and his men, things quickly turn sour and they find themselves amidst a bloody shootout. Yet it soon becomes apparent that it’s not their known enemies that present the biggest threat in the jungle…

We like it because:

It’s the ultimate cross breed between timely jungle thrillers like “Predator” and “Anaconda” and giant critter delights such as “Eight Legged Freaks” and “Lake Placid”. Let’s put it this way, “Dragon Wasps” does for bees what “Arachnophobia” did for spiders.

Hot Quotes:

“A rollercoaster of venom-stinging terror” - Dean Boor, Shock Horror Magazine

TO WIN:

All you have to do is figure out which killer creature film the below poster belongs to...

Think you know the answer?

PM (Private Message) me it! Get it right and you'll be entered into a draw where one person will be randomly selected tomorrow.

GOOD LUCK!

It looks like something pasted on top of the dragonwasp though. Kind of looks lik it's supposed to be a stinger, but it looks like an image from a different picture (of a scorpion's tail?) literally just stuck on top. I'm sure it's no reflection on what is sure to be a top quality film though . . .

Bzzzz!

Time's up on this competition and the correct answer was the pretty good (but way too long) Killer Bee disaster film, The Swarm!

Well done to all those who worked it out. Only one person can win and the randomly selected person is....

Sawyer6!

Congratulations - this terribly awful (but unbelievably hilarious) film is now all yours!

Next competition will be up in a jiffy...
