Haha. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. They weren't under any obligation to fulfill my subscription, but they did, and apparently the records from the old company were in bad shape, so fair play to them.

Question

I've been considering picking up some copies of Scream Magazine... is it worth getting hold of?

This one is new to me Sarah so I can't say anything about it but I've heard very good things about Paracinema, Diabolique and for hardcore Hammerheads Little Shoppe of Horrors

I used to buy Is It Uncut..? but I gave it up because of the excessive plot synopses given for each film - a scene by scene breakdown followed by a much shorter analysis of the film... It was a gorgeous looking mag but I hate reading about plots...

The only mag I buy nowadays is Video Watchdog... I think it's still the best.

I only have one issue and it's not bad, definitely worth a look. Forbidden Planet seems to be the only shop that sells it.

I order Horrorhound from the States every now and then and pick up Fangoria when I can. I've been trying to find somewhere selling Dark Side Magazine but not having much luck!

There is a small independant newsagents across the road from me that sells it, so it's worth checking around.

Personally, i thought Scream was merely decent but nothing more. Too much B & W imagery for me and the DVD reviews weren't all that informative for my tastes. TDS beats it imo.

I think you're right as the above retailer has been the only outlet i've managed to buy my new TDS issues from.
