Nice collections, Sarah.

I'm shocked that your Arrow BDs aren't all together on your shelf though.

I only have one "display shelf" which has all my Shameless DVDs on it. Everything else is in my main collection which is all alphabetised by title. Between me and my partner we have so many films that if it weren't all in alphabetical order it'd take forever to find a single film!

I've (perhaps unwisely) started my BD collection off by arranging them by distributor on my shelves. The plus side being that I have a lovely white block of Arrow goodness, but once it reaches 200, 300, 400, 500 + (as it inevitably will ) I might have the same problem as you listed above; taking forever to find a certain film!

I'm just starting my collection, so far NYR, Black Cat and Manhattan Baby (courtesy of the Fulci box), Flavia and Killer Nun. My goal is at least 1-20 by the end of the year...

Speaking of collecting and arranging DVDs and Blu-rays - a funny anecdote of mine. Back in the day, I used to have a very strange way of arranging my discs. My absolute favourites were displayed on a very prominent shelf. The rest I kept in medium-sized plastic boxes - without any order. The result: nobody but me in my family could find the correct discs without searching for 20 minutes. I had them in my head (visual memory) - so I could find any disc within seconds. I had not even made a list of all my discs at the time - as I knew my approximately 1000 discs by heart. However, I decided to catalogue and thematically arange my collection for the public good. Result: now it was me who couldn't find anything anymore.

Greetings!
