The first ever UK dvd I bought, with no special features, was £19.99. That was back in the day, when people weren't so tight-fisted!

I think that years and years ago I paid around 20 quid for what I think may have been my first DVD. The only time I would consider spending that amount these days is in those instances when I'm looking for something that is more difficult to acquire and I don't really have much choice.

I balk at paying more than £10 for a DVD...unless it's a 'Doctor Who' one of course!

New, or old Who? I wouldn't even pay for New Who (and I do like it)

When there is an alternative, that's not even a question...

£5 is often my limit on Blu-rays, nevermind DVDs. Then again, if we're talking a boxset or limited edition, which probably includes a few of the Shameless DVD releases, then that is a different matter. I'd cave in at £15, depending on how much I want the film or like it. Still £19 is too much even for a steelbook Blu-Ray in my opinion. Not even HMV's pre-orders ask for that kind of money. |
