Just watched my copy last weekend. Looks and sounds great overall. I got sleeve number: 0260

Unlike mentioned on the dvd-sleeve, it seems the film is not uncut; there are versions, in which Luca's wife Adele is raped by the french gangsters, while he (Luca) is still on the phone. In this version here, she is "just" beaten up. But there is even one picture-still of the rape on the back-cover (it's the second on the left counted from top to bottom (naked woman)).

Although bbfc.co.uk states the work as beeing uncut, could it be possible that the licencer indeed had a version that is suposed to be uncut, but was pre-cut ages ago to meet censoring rules of a certain country?

But that link has no mention of the Shameless release. It is a comparison of the BBFC 18 VHS and was done in 2012 it seems from the dates on there.

Can someone confirm that the Shameless DVD is indeed cut, as I was just about to buy this and came to the forum for a once over of any issues before clicking the submit.

I already own the Italian Shock version of this so do not want to double dip unless definitely uncut.

Do not worry, Anth. The Shameless release of Lucio Fulci's Contraband is indeed completely UNCUT!

You can rest assured that you'll be enjoying Contraband in all it's violent Fulci glory Let us know what you make of the film when you watch it Anth!
