One of my all time favourite films, its place is secure in Top 20 Heaven. A masterpiece.

I've never seen this surprisingly, but Mark Kermode was raving about it on his film review slot on the Beeb. I've put the Blu-ray on my Amazon wishlist.

I know this will be heresy... But I much prefer this to the original, with Roy Scheider stonkinly good, pure 70s class and in full-on surround the soundtrack should rock.

Watched this for the first time today and i was gripped! Amazing film.

On the other hand the friedkin/nicolas windig refn interview is frustrating. Friedkin is great as always but refn doesnt know how to interview, he keeps asking the same questions, interrupting, making jokes etc.
The interview just strikes me as pretentious, much like his films unfortunately. Havent listened to his maniac cop 2 commentary yet but not sure if it will be any good lol!

I remember when ITV showed it in a 'widescreen' print, an unusual event at the time. The ST I know fairly well as a Tangs fan ahem. I like both tbh. The part of Easy Riders, Raging Bulls concerning the film is a revelation. Ego maniac is putting it mildly.
