CRASHOUT is excellent, a big ensemble cast of brilliant actors and entertaining story of crims on the run, one of the best prison-break style films I've seen.

SHACK OUT ON 101 I wasn't much keen on. Lee Marvin gets annoying and the whole thing was a bit of a soapy melodrama really. Nothing much happened. Felt like the commie infiltrator plotline was tagged on.

Both on blu ray from Olive as I'm sure you know

Now you're back oaxaca, and I know it's a while off yet, but I hope you'll be able to join in on the next Noir November

I'll definitely have to check out Crashout at some point.

I'm thinking of doing 'Mad March' - i.e. a whole month of surreal films and mind****ery.

I was going to do 'Foreign February' but the gialli-fest got in the way...

That's how I spell Narch Dem!

Are these months where we watch as many films ina particular style as poss and then comment on them?

I like the mad march idea, have always wanted to watch TWIN PEAKS but have never got around to it, that would be the perfect excuse!

Pretty much, yes.

This thread was a hive of activity with loads of fine reviews last November. We followed it up with a Christmas Movies thread which was also popular.

Nothing has really taken off this year so far except B_E watching a load of obscure gialli, which inspired me to do the same, although not as obscure, during the rest of the month.

Good choices.

Yeah, I suppose I could slip some more gialli into March if I need to.

I was also thinking of doing a 'Sci-Fi September'.
