If it has a Blu release then you can request the Blu, although DVD is the default setting on all titles. I will always opt for the Blu if there is one.

I've just put it on my Lovefilm list, not because I am doing Noir-November (I forgot and haven't planned accordingly) but because it sounds like something well worth my time and attention.

It doesn't need planning. Just watch a few Noir films from your collection and give us your thoughts.

I actually plan on using November (and December, if necessary) to put as large a dent as possible in my pile of unwatched discs. Unfortunately, it doesn't include any films noir, but does contain a few of 88 Films' recent releases, two of which I received yesterday!
