I think my favourite RR film is Sin City, From Dusk Till Dawn comes a close second.

I was a little disappointed with Machete, I prefer the trailer to the actual film.

Just had a quick look on his IMDB page and it has Spy Kids 4 listed as his next film. I though it was gonna be Sin City 2.

Rodriguez is in my top 5 modern directors and I think anyone who judges him for the Spy Kids work is an idiot!
Spy Kids and Shark Boy & Lava Girl were done for his childrens sake.

Top 5 Rodriguez films for me would have to be...

1. From Dusk Till Dawn
2. Machete
3. Sin City
4. Planet Terror
5. Desperado

Although it's hard to decide whether 2 should be Machete or Sin City.

Ps. Has anyone read the Sin City comics?

Rodriguez is a genius, but Once Upon a Time In Mexico is awful. A horrible pastiche of spaghetti westerns with bad cameos. A rare blip though!

Just watched the Spy Kids 4 trailer. Not a film I have any interest at all but interesting in that it states the film will be in 4-D. Whether or not this is just an advertising gimmick I don't know but it'd be interesting to see if Rodriguez is once again ahead of cinematic trends like this (bringing 3D back in 2003 way before Avatar or My Bloody Valentine)

Not yet, BTW, I would have bought the canadian release of From Dusk Till Dawn If I was you. Every review of the Mill Creek disc has been terrible. They're quickly making a bad name for themselves with the mediocre transfers of the Miramax films they're releasing.
