That's something of a relief. It's not drastically different enough to bother me. I'd suggest anyone thinking of trading in wait to see what code red do with it

No I think you may be right. It reminds me of the controversy over inferno as to whether the blue underground or arrow versions looked correct. Everyone said the German release would be the definitive one and it looked closer to the Arrow release (though I thought the transfer looked better). Given shameless state no noise reduction was used in the transfer it would be worth them making a statement. Nontheless I will be interested in seeing code reds transfer and the shameless release looks decent enough to me. Certainly I won't be running out to buy the Koch release

There were two masters available for The Sect. Koch Media rejected the shitty one that Shameless used. The guy who does the extras for Koch and other labels has told me that.

This and The Church are my first Shameless discs. It's looking like they may also be my last...

But if Koch wants to release their disc in a reasonably priced plastic case anytime soon, that'd be great.

I've heard good things about The Church. I've only read one screenshot scientist grumbling, he wasn't impressed with the encoding. My copy has arrived so will have the opportunity to judge it for myself. Tuesday evening is the allocated time.

In fairness the church does look good. I avoided collecting by spine numbers with shameless but there are a few great releases including the Blu-ray of 10th victim, footprints on the moon, top sensation, formula for murder, baba yaga ect.
