Let's hope this unexpected success allows Shameless to become more active in the market again. :)

I watched The Sect last night, it's been sat in my to watch rental pile for about three weeks. I am so glad it was a rental too, what a convoluted ultimately dull film. It starts off well enough but quickly turns into a very tedious film with far too many over and undertones of Phenomia. Disappointing for Soavi.

La Setta is a different beast to the rest of his work I find. Lom's performance ...:rolleyes: granted is a tad ... fruity at times, but this is in keeping with the theme. The pacing is uneven, some of the lighting is dire but for all its flaws I have watched it a few times ... like Phenomena it gets more bearable the more you watch it :lol:

And yet I enjoyed it far better than I expected and far better than The Church!

That smiling rubber goat face gave me nightmares as a kid...
