BTW What's with that label?
Did they do a remaster job or was that always on it?

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 23rd July 2020 11:24 PM

So what's on the horizon now after the rather good THE BEYOND?

Anyone bought Flavia?

It ain't in any shops.....

I haven't seen it for sale anywhere, nor seen any publicity about it recently.

I can't remember the last time I watched the first (and so far only) DVD of Flavia.

Mojo 24th July 2020 09:24 AM

I have the Shameless Blu Ray of FLAVIA - it looks pretty good to my eyes. Also Includes an interview with Florida Bolkan.

JAMIOUSE 26th July 2020 06:38 PM

Perhaps Shameless have gone into hiding until they announce House by the Cemetery and then just dump it out into the world?

bleakshaun 27th July 2020 07:40 AM

nosferatu42 27th July 2020 02:33 PM

I was going to lay off buying films for a while but saw this and went on a Giallo themed mission.
Got 4 from Amazon and 2 from CEX.
I'm still avoiding going out except to do food shopping and to see my daughter so in my frazzled mind i end up talking myself into stuff.

Hopefully you won't end up getting pissed every Monday night and posting rants and rambles on internet forums throughout the night. :pound:

It would be good if the theatrical version was also included.

Mojo 5th October 2020 11:22 AM

Good to see Shameless back in the game again. FOOTPRINTS would be a good Blu Ray for them to release.

Justin101 5th October 2020 12:21 PM

That is literally the worst blu-ray cover I have seen for a LONG TIME
I'll probably still buy it though, it's an interesting film at least.

Rik 5th October 2020 12:26 PM

Can’t see me rushing out to buy it any time soon, my DVD copy has been sat on my shelf still sealed for god knows how many years

And yeah, that is some ****ing awful artwork there, might email them and see if they want me to have a bash at drawing their covers, pretty sure I can do a better job than that

Justin101 5th October 2020 12:40 PM

I get the feeling that it's a clear plastic cover like The Beyond was, so it'll look even worse in person.
I realised later that it's supposed to be a camera

In an age where nostalgic (see what I did there?) Film fans want better & better versions of stuff, artwork can be a key factor in getting people to buy it.

I don't like either of the Dellamorte Dellamore options, they look like photcopies out of some fanzine from the 90's.

Does the Beyond have reversable art does anyone know?

Justin101 5th October 2020 05:30 PM

It doesn't have reversible art because it's printed on clear plastic, you can actually see right through it to the disc underneath. It looks awful!

It is, looks like someone got their kid too do it on paint, and I would say a kid of about 5

Demdike@Cult Labs 5th October 2020 08:00 PM

Although i'm not keen on the cover personally i understand why it's been done.

The movie after all is based on an Italian comic book about a photographer so both those are referenced as is the fetish doll aspect in the lens of the camera.

To be honest i've seen a hell of a lot worse - Hello Arrow, Shout Factory and others.

But that's a quality piece of art that promoted the movie initially.

Totally goes against the mantra that companies now have to employ people who were only given a crayon for the first time two minutes before they received the commission to do the artwork.

As i said earlier i don't hate the new cover as much as others do but it could certainly have been improved upon had they used the artwork you showed, Rob.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 11th October 2020 07:06 PM

Bring back the classy yellow covers please.

HOPEFULLY The Beyond will be rereleased in a yello-case!

Is it just me, or does £21.50 (including p&p) seem expensive?

gag 13th October 2020 04:25 PM

So how much longer is this version than the normal one? tbh I’ve never seen it .

I have the Blue Underground Blu-ray which, at 83 minutes, is about four minutes shorter than this release.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 14th October 2020 06:37 PM

Yeah, but it’s Bradford, I’d rather do without a HMV than step foot in that shithole
