4K Ultra HD | Zavvi.com Some titles already up for preorder no need for new player. Mind it will be a long time if ever when I buy a 4k tv |
That's decided, then. From this moment on, I'm going 4K RELEASES ONLY  . . . |

To be fair, they aren't 4k releases, they're still blurays. They're mastered from 4k sources with the highest possible bit-rate on the disc (no extras) but it's still a 1080p disc. I think the general idea is that it'd look better upscaled on a 4k tv than a standard bluray but of course they'll also look better than the previous bluray releases as well. |
Well I'm happy with blu ray and don't think I will upgrade until someone invents a holo deck and you can be part of the movie! |
Totally agree mate. It's an excellent format and I can't imagine a lot of films looking better on a home viewing format. Faced with the choice between dvd and a bluray I'll always go for the latter each time (unless there's a ridiculous price difference but I still buy dvds as well. |
Looking at the two new titles, I will not be getting them really don't interest me at all, but glad that shameless are bringing something out. |
See i'm doing the right thing just getting dvd's. Why replace them with poxy blu ray when i can go 5K in five years time.  |
