New Shameless Releases Coming Very Soon!

Hi all,

We've just recieved some very, very exciting news from Shameless!

Two brand new yellow DVDs are planned for a release in the near future. We'll be announcing the titles this Friday (27th July) so keep your eyes pealed for that big news update on here!

I'm so excited about these releases that I can hardly control myself. What are they? Well, you'll just have to wait and see. Over this week, I'll be posting several cryptic clues as to what these two films could be. Feel free to guess!

Whoever guesses correctly (posted on this thread) first will also win themselves a Shameless prize!

So, let the guessing begin! What do you think it could be?

Clues to follow tomorrow!

Kyle

Death Laid an Egg!??

Rik 23rd July 2012 12:46 PM

Just seen you post this on Facebook, so glad it's not another boxset of already released titles.

the blob 23rd July 2012 12:51 PM

New York Ripper?

ReturnToZero 23rd July 2012 12:59 PM

Is it Troma titles?

ReturnToZero 23rd July 2012 01:02 PM

I love DVDs so much the titles doesn't matter. But Troma would be nice.

PaulD 23rd July 2012 01:05 PM

I'm thinking more gialli so either:

The Case of the Scorpions Tale
All the Colours of the Dark, or
The Case of the Bloody Iris

would all be extremely welcome

I have all those. :(

Demdike@Cult Labs 23rd July 2012 01:53 PM

Please

make it that at least one of the films hasn't had a widespread US dvd release.

I have hopes, seeing as Shameless brought us Ratman, Footprints, Oasis of Fear, Femina Ridens and Almost Human.

Your Vice Is A Locked Room would be an obvious choice as there's still no in print English friendly version and it's another Martino. Better than Case of the Scorpion's Tail too.

Don't really want a title that's widely available, unless it's an unreleased BD. :)

Crimson Blade 23rd July 2012 02:19 PM

Would love to see some more obscure giallos like Lenzi's Dagger of Ice get a release.

Don't want any that's had numerous excellent DVD editions unless they're BD's.

platostotal 23rd July 2012 02:57 PM

as no one's said it, ZFE. But a more realistic guess would be a 70s italian film of a giallo style, all mentined so far would be cool, what about the Savalas 'THE KILLER IS ON THE PHONE' or 'PUZZLE' with Senta Berger. Like to see the 2nd in paticular.

Gojirosan 23rd July 2012 03:22 PM

I deffo reckon All The Colors Of The Dark because Kyle's artwork looked so perfect!

But, really, Death Laid An Egg?

Edited to "correct" my spelling of "colors"

See, now I think we're getting 2 Martino's.

Torso already made it into a boxset so we need two more for next year's Sergio Martino boxset...

Aw, shucks! My lips are still sealed though - hopefully we'll have a little subtle clue for you all tomorrow :)

Hawkmonger 23rd July 2012 03:43 PM

All the Colours of the Dark and Giallo A Venizia!
I'm just happy for more new releases.

Gothmogxx 23rd July 2012 03:51 PM

Anthropophagus the beast And Absurd? Or even Cannibal Ferox (although it may still face problems with the BBFC).

BAKA 23rd July 2012 03:54 PM

Good news. I was a little worried for them quite honestly. We're at a point where companies are announcing their Q4 line-up, and it's a period that suits the type of genre releases Shameless put out. If they hadn't announced anything soon, I genuinely would be wondering if they still existed, or if they were just going to keep recycling their wares until the rights ran out and fold afterwards. Perhaps it sounds harsh, but it was a genuine concern of mine.

I hope for at least a Giallo. If the titles are in the vain of the contents of the Pop Erotica boxset, I'll be gutted. Just personal opinion :tongue1:, I'm sure there are many who will disagree.

The first clue better look like this:

CLUEDO the Movie?

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 23rd July 2012 04:50 PM

Or perhaps it is something a little more experimental?
Or is that idea now out the window?
Because if it ain't,then I'll be damned.

Now where's that classic yeti movie from 1980?

iluvdvds@Cult Labs 23rd July 2012 04:54 PM

Yep, Shameless are indeed releasing Night Of The Demon!

...and then I wake up. DAMNIT! If only...

Rassilon 23rd July 2012 05:04 PM

Can we have the first clue as a catchphrase. I understand Roy Walker would be out of the question. But a little teletext style animation with Mr Chips would be nice.

Example - The planet Venus wrapped in a fur coat.

Venus in Furs.

Okay that was easy - but I'm very excited about a new release. Please be 'Girls on the Road, Conquest, Murder Rock or Carnival of Blood'

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 23rd July 2012 05:07 PM

Or a shaggy toilet seat cover with a bloodied dick for NOTD.....

This could be an idea for a future comp Kyle!

Patience, patience, my dear Ricky Chad :p

We'll have a cryptic little clue for you all tomorrow.

Most will already own the Shriek Show release surely.

darthelvis 23rd July 2012 05:44 PM

A blu ray of a spaghetti western classic like Keoma would be sweet as well.

Need more UK releases of great Spaghetti westerns, after all BU release of Django was region locked.

JAMIOUSE 23rd July 2012 06:08 PM

Oohh how exciting new titles! I maybe in the minority here but I hope it isn't All The Colours Of The Dark, it's a title that doesn't do a huge amount for me. Now if it were Your Vice Is A Locked Room I may be tempted to double dip. Altough it could be Cannibal Ferox I'm hoping for more gialli.
