It's not that bad. I'd like a BD with lossless audio. The German BD is lossy and the Italian one has an audio dropout. This movie needs a good BD release.

Just a friendly reminder that this thread is for discussion of the Shameless release of the film.

I not so long ago bought the BD mediabook of this having never seen the film before. But you know you can't go wrong with Michele Soavi. I was surprised just how much comedy was in the mix though. It was hilarious in places, much like Braindead.

If a blu-ray costs 3-4 times more per unit to produce why is that the final product only costs between 2£ to 4£ more than a DVD.

Are DVDs overpriced of Blu-Rays underpriced?

That's a very good question and I imagine the answer is a little of both, with lower profit margins for Blu-ray releases to increase sales and increase awareness of the format.

You can buy BDs for less than a fiver, so I guess only the distributors really know how much the dealer listing price should be to enable them to recoup the costs of buying the rights, getting the HD encoding, authoring the discs, printing them and printing the sleeves, inserts, booklets etc.

I may be completely wrong though as I really have no idea!

Don't get me started, a good scour of the Internet will answer your question about those pesky silver discs, god love em.

I suspect a mis-type to be honest. He does say 'dvd liner notes' too. Still, good to know there'll be liner notes!

Imagine the quality of the liner notes when he can't even get the facts right on a 23 word tweet.
