If only the film was as good as this new art from Redemption.

Those not in the know will have a shock when they see some blokes with green eyeshadow smudged on their cheeks rather than the fine example of the living dead pictured on the cover art.

Which makes the original video cover artwork so damn amazing in my eyes!

Hope the designer got paid well for his skills with a scalpel - Although it's easy for me to say as I never rented the video.

"What about this?" "...Zombie Flesh Eaters, nah looks rubbish - let's get this instead..."

"A Virgin Among the Living Dead" is a weird zombie film because it was never meant to be a zombie film at all. As a zombie movie, it fails but as a Gothic horror film (as intended), it's really good and incredibly tragic. Unfortunately, people always watch the HORRIBLE English dub when the original language is really FRENCH. Seriously, the English dub just uses the French soundtrack and dubs over the dialogue (resulting in some music fading out too early).

"City of the Living Dead" - Zombies that teleport. Need I say more?

I think this is part of it's charm, both COTLD and The Beyond have a twisted metaphysical surreality that make them stand out from other Zombie movies.

Only rival for Children of the Living Dead for that title. But at least Z5:P garnered some laughs.

Teleporting zombies goes against the established rules of that sort of thing though. Coming back form the dead, less so.

I get that. But I think it's funny sometimes the way we except certain logics in horror films and not others.
