Hi,
i think that the inclusion of the italian audio track as en axtra would help sell more copies in my country, since this movie is still unavaiable on dvd in the italian market.

As far as I know there are some parts of the Shameless restoration that are without English dialogue and these parts will be in Italian with English subtitles. So maybe the inclusion of the entire Italian track as an option isn't beyond the realms of possibility. Though seeing as this is a new version it might well be that the available Italian track doesn't fit the new edit and to sync it up may not figure into the DVD's production budget?

I agree that the inclusion of an Italian track (if possible) would help generate more sales (from Italian speaking audiences).
No subs for the Italian track would be an option to reduce cost.
For a release as Le Orme (which has no dvd release worldwide) it's important imho to try and sell as many as possible...also in Italy.
This could be a BIG seller!

Oh, come on! How much can it cost to have the subs created? I can create them for free if Shameless includes the Italian track.

I read about it somewhere or maybe heard it in one of the bonus featurettes on some Italian film. But it is also obvious from a comparison of almost any English giallo track to the Italian one. The moronic and jarring ending of the English Chi l'ha vista morire comes to mind at once, for instance (although, come to think of that, it was probably done for censorship reasons).

I'd love to read the interview but apparently one has to wait for the registration to be approved or something.
