Technically, while the MYA disc supposedly was not properly licensed, the fact that they seem to have used the original negative and have the same missing frames and audio issues as the Swedish disc and the transfer that Shameless was given suggests that, as generally seems to happen lately with Italian horror, these are all from the same scan, and unfortunately the same bad standards conversion of the English audio. What so far has set apart the Swedish disc seems to be better handling of the transfer they were given, and the Shameless release will no doubt be far superior, being in HD, and having the faults of the current master corrected for what will likely be the best release of 4 Flies we will see for a long time.

Just my thoughts - I could be totally off base!

I'm happy to wait. Just, please, sort that audio out!

The reasoning for this is simply that Shameless want to give you the best possible release of Four Flies on Grey Velvet and so want to spend a little more time sourcing materials - particularly the audio for which they are trying to get hold of the best possible version.

While Shameless and I know many of you may be a bit disappointed with the delay, we're sure you'll appreciate that it's because they want to give you the absolute best version of this film that money can buy and doing that simply means taking a wee bit longer.

So long as the end result is excellent (and knowing shameless i'm confident it will be) i'm prepared to wait as long as it takes to get the best version.

I really don't mind waiting for something to be released if it means the end product will have the best possible extra features, AV quality and packaging.

I'd rather than by any 'rush job' release. Wise decision, Shameless!

Well said and i'm in total agreement. A job slowly done is surely done as they say.
