Cannibal Holocaust is set for release on September 26th and 4 Flies has a release date of 5th December

Easy mistake to make. They need to be in your diary though. To be fair her majesty the Queen should honour the releases with some public bank holidays...

Announcements usually happen shortly before the film becomes available for pre-order, quite a while after the rights are acquired. by this time Shameless know more or less exactly what they're doing with the materials available and when they can expect to release.

Cannibal Holocaust is due on 26 September and this is due on 5 December (the dates are usually included in the OP). CH was announced earlier than usual because it was being screened at Cine-Excess and the news leaked.

FYI, all current and announced Shameless titles are listed in this post along with all forthcoming release dates. It's updated regularly so it has all the correct dates.

Does this version use a different print as the MYA release? That one was missing frames IIRC. Apparently they used a TV print, so there were tiny cuts where the commercials would be. Also there might be some frames missing at reel changes.
I don't know for sure, I don't have it. Waiting for a good release. Maybe this one or the AWE release will be the one for me

Sarah would need to confirm, but from the first post I'd infer that Shameless are getting access to the original negative, so I'm expecting a phenomenal (and definitive release) of Four Flies.

As for the MYA DVD, it does seem to comprise of a print lifted from a TV broadcast with the adverts edited out. Although, in some ways it is an improvement over the grey-market German Retrofilm release.
