Four Flies on Grey Velvet @ Abertoir Horror Film Festival

To mark the 40th Anniversary of its production, and 20 years after the film disappeared from the public eye, Shameless Screen Entertainment proudly present the world’s first HD version of Dario Argento’s FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET - with contents restored as never seen before – now remastered in full HD from the original negative

FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET will be released on Blu-ray and DVD by Shameless Screen Entertainment in December 2011, with newly re-inserted scenes and a portfolio of Extras including an exclusive all-revealing interview with the film’s Writer and Assistant Director Luigi Cozzi.

If you want to see the film before the December release date, however, you need to head to the Abertoir Horror Film Festival, held at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre on the beautiful mid-Wales coast. The festival is being held 8-13 November 2011, with the Four Flies screening, courtesy of Shameless Screen Entertainment, scheduled for 11 November. The full festival schedule has not yet been published, but you can follow progress on the official website and the festival's Facebook page.

Great Sarah, really can't wait for this, will go for the Blu unless the price difference makes the SD better value, ANOTHER great release from the big yellow.

Default Four Flies on Grey Velvet screening @ Abertoir

Sarah, excuse me asking as there have been so many articles about FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET, but is the Shameless version going to be longer than my R1 Mya dvd?
e.g. the reel changes on the German Retrofilm label dvd was terrible and got rid of them for the Mya dvd. which also has a longer ending

As far as I know it's going to be the longest version available as they have inserted various missing seconds of damaged footage etc. This will be seamlessly branched though so that you can watch it with or without the added footage.

That's good, sometimes with Shameless releases I'd rather the extra few seconds of footage hadn't been inserted because all they do is take me out of the film.
