I agree. Cover art on most Blu Rays doesn't impose itself at all largely due to the top of the box being blank except for the B R logo.

Criterion Blu-ray cases are clear and have nothing at the top though, so others should follow suit! I don't mind the clear ones that Masters of Cinema and BFI now use though as well.

I can't see it changing. The boxes are product ID now differentiating them from DVDs. Hey ho, not as if I'm framing them :)

I wish they stopped having the BD logo and advertisement on the cases... everyone knows the format by now.

Anyway, reverse artwork for me, no doubt about that!

Kyle, any chance of putting both pics up side by side or above and below each other so I can get a better comparison judgement?

great covers - I like them all!

platostotal 11th January 2012 03:41 PM

Both great, but I'll stick with A. Also, I like the newer more minimalist Shameless covers with the black backgrounds, to me it makes the yellow border really POP(of course original cinema posters, especially iconic ones make great covers but still...) I can spot FOUR FLIES from twenty feet and know which film and label it's on, or maybe that's cause my eyes are shot and simplistic designs appeal:lol:
