Default Four Flies On Grey Velvet: Soundtrack

One of the key features that promises to make the upcoming release of Four Flies so special is the audio used. Remastered from the original magnetic soundtrack, this means that this Shameless exclusive is the first time such a high quality audio has been available since it's original theatrical release!

But what does everyone think of the score used in this film? Composed by the legend that is Morricone, it really adds a lot to Argento's film. Some fan has uploaded the soundtrack to Youtube, if you fancy checking it out. Here's the first soundtrack video...

So what do you think of the film's soundtrack? How does it compare to other Argento movies? What about other Morricone music?

I think it's a fantastic soundtrack. I have that track on CD - An Ennio Morricone Dario Argento Trilogy. Basically music from the Animal trilogy. It's just such a pleasure to hear a genre soundtrack that isn't just full of loud bangs and crescendo heavy string sections.

Thumbs up from me.

It takes a bit of stick but I also really love his work on Stendhal. Adds so much to the film.

Yeah, it's a great soundtrack. I have bits of it on the Morricone Giallo cd I own. I ...ahem...'borrowed' bits of it for a student film I just did actually, it worked really well. Thanks Ennio!
