Shameless can't actually do anything about the cut since it is imposed on them by the BBFC and it is illegal for a film to be released in the UK without being passed by that body. The BBFC has a strong policy against sexual violence and so it would be unlikely that they would suddenly waive the cut in light of this re-release.

It looks pretty awesome, I like it - excellent. Even though I have all the films in the boxset I will probably buy it anyway because of the artwork re-issues. For me the cut doesn't really ruin the film, it was done neatly, so it's nothing big. It is really only 19 seconds right? So... I mean it's not like over 10 minutes of cuts!

You have to remember that this movie was submitted just a few years ago back in 2007. Does anyone in this thread really think that it would suddenly pass uncut now? So I think Shameless would waste money on submitting a fresh uncut print, just for the same cuts to be required as in 2007. I think NYR is deemed to be cut for a quite a few years yet, I could maybe see an uncut release 2015? I don't know. I guess sooner or later they'll waive the cuts but not so soon after it being cut. There's also the extreme porn thing, although the BBFC's ratings are excused from it, they probably take that into account aswell.

It's a box, or just a slipcase?

Just a reminder of why New York Ripper is one of the best films to escape from the Shameless dungeons! Find out details about a special screening of the film in celebration of the Fulci's Box of Terror release here!

I love the cover and it's just a question of justifying buying three DVDs I already own for the artwork. Can someone convince me please?!

I will be buying.
I still need the Shameless editions of The Black Cat and Manhattan Baby and the box seems the cheapest option.

For people who don't already own the seperate releases this is a great bargain.
