Who can honestly hate the Castlevania games (well, apart from Simons Quest). Super Castlevania IV is one of the greatest games on the SNES. On saying that, I actually bought it on the Wii marketplace, but it was still a memorable experience.

I've played 2 R-Type games: Super R-Type and the one on PS2. Super R-Type I beat in a day, though it was challenging. The PS2 one I still haven't beat...

The first Tomb Raider on ps1 blew me away.
Resident Evil I loved to bits.
Fallout 3. I am the Lone Wanderer....

I preferred Perfect Dark. It used the GoldenEye engine but you also got a load of cool alien weaponry chucked in too. Plus, you could unlock many of the old GoldenEye levels to play in multi-player.
