If you were on xbox live, I would've started playing that with you eventually.

Nice to see your name pop up on the forum again...

Cheer's mate.

To be honest its not quite the game i'd thought it would be , it dose'nt feel like a Need for Speed game .

Dont get me wrong , the game is good , VERY GOOD , and has a cool 'retro' feel to it .
The races / chases are fast , competitive and seriously intense . Graphically the games gorgeous , with highly detailed cars, stunning trackside vistas and beautiful realised weather effects , it's easy one off the best looking Racer on PS3 so far.
It has tsome off the he hottest cars on the planet, easy to navigate menu's , and the Online game mode's are fun , fast and lag free, and feature a Facebook style 'wall' to socialise with your friends , but it just dose'nt look or feel like "Need for Speed" . Now thats not a complaint.

I've played and loved the NFS series from its 3DO beginnings right though to NFS Shift on X360 and PS3 , i've never once missed an installment , it was why, back in the day as a Dreamcast owner I eventually bought a PS2, and although NFS changed direction several times there was always a certain look and feel that once you played , be it on the 'open world' roads of CARBON or the closed real life track's of PRO STREET , you knew it was Need for Speed you were playing , it just had this familiar look and feel to it that made it Need for Speed.

But NFS Hot Pursuit feels different somehow , I just cant put my finger on it .
Thats not to say it's a bad thing, in fact far from it.
This game is serious fun , be it chasing Racers as a Cop down a traffic busy wet mountain road at night with lightening streaking across the sky or ripping up a dusty desert highyway to evade the Cop's or beat a Rival , this game delivers a new 'need for speed, thats fast , intense , and great fun. ...... Another winner from EA..... Pure Class, every bit a AAA title.......9.5 /10.

Can anyone recomend PES 2011 .?
I got Fifa 11 but wouldn't mind getting PES 11 as well if the cpu AI is more attack minded than last years PES game.

Hey, how's it going?

After reading your last post on Need For Speed: H.P, I think I will wait a while, then pick this one up when it's half price or less. Or even in a few years, when I come across it at Cash Convertors. lol
I really enjoyed the demo that I downloaded though. So I will be getting a copy of this game eventually, as I like the occasional racer...

It is staring to look like I will be playing Reach, right up until the release of Gears Of War 3 in April. Sound's like some kind of joke doesn't it? I'm hooked on this game right now. Been playing it since the night it was released back in September 14th. It's the online part of this, that is keeping me playing. The more you play, the more credits you earn to buy lots of different new armour to dress your character in. and you can climb the military ranks too. I'm a Colonel: grade 2 right now. Bungie have now added many more ranks to earn, which means that I will be playing this for some months yet. Very possibly the best Halo game in the series. ODST was very entertaining, but Reach has raised the bar again. The gameplay is really good on this one. I recommend Reach to all Shooter fans...

Did you bother with Undead Nightmare for the PS3 Vipco? I don't believe this game will be worth paying £30-£35 for. It's way too short, as it was originally a DLC for Red Dead Redemption a little while back. It will only be worth it, if you fully intend to play it online, as the multi-player package is really good fun, and great value. But if you are not online, or if you are just interested in the single player campaign, then you will be wasting your money here. It is just way too short a game, to justify it's release price. You would be better off buying Red Dead, then just download the extra stuff after. Hope this helps you decide anyway. It's up to you...

There's even more new outfits to download for Super Street Fighter 4 now, discovered this very recently. Some of them are very cool looking too. worth a look if your a fan...

Don't forget about Mass effect 2 for the PS3. I think it's released in Feb 2011 now, it will be packaged with almost all the excellent DLC that was originally on xbox marketplace. Including Lair Of The Shadow Broker, and Overlord. This is not to be missed. I can't wait to play through this again myself. Roll on Mass Effect 3...

I hated NFS HP after the first hour Mahoney and was ready to go to town and change it , but thankfully it was heavily raining and I decided to give it another chance and am I so glad I did as Need for Speed HP is awesome !
Unlike most modern Racing games its down to your skill on the joypad / wheel , and not your car set up's, what tires , engine tunning , ABS, TC etc that brings you 1st place and to me thats what makes this such a good game, and man is it fun Online .
A truly brilliant Racing game. I cant wait for the track based Sim style 'sister' game ' Need for Speed ' SHIFT 2 in 2011. I wouldn't be surprised if that plays better than GT5.

Yo Bower, I think there is more chance of you playing online with Roughale, than there is with me. Ha ha ha. Time will tell I guess...

He'll have a good game of Hexic HD waiting for you, when he gets back from his travelling. lol
My god man, your obsessed! Mind you Reach is a top game. No doubt you'll be getting the Noble map pack when it comes out.

COD BLOPS here, just finished it. Seemed a little on the short side. Has the bonus of a mini-game against zombies, but that gets boring fairly quickly.

Dead Rising 2 seems to be dropping in price, so might pick that up soon.
