Been playing Lego Batman 2 in hospital for the past few days with my eldest son on an Xbox they provided for him. We've got pretty far but will have to start again because I saved our game on a USB stick to transfer onto my Xbox but it didn't work

Playing through these over the last week.

SimCity - for my sins. Even though I was annoyed about it being online only having had a go at a beta preview of it I was happy with the game play. I love games like this and have been playing the Simcity series since SimCity 2000, I really loved it, that game, Theme Hospital, Theme Park, The Sims and Roller Coaster Tycoon kept me happy through my teens/twenties.

Now I liked SimCity Societies when I could play it, I resented the fact that they really didn't try to resolve the issues which did make me feel worried about buying SimCity on release. But as I'd pre-ordered it for £32 I decided to stick with it.

The game play is pretty good but even though they've added more servers I can't always play - this is usually resolved fairly quickly though but I have also lost a town because when I came to quite the server wasn't online anymore!?! The most annoying thing is not being able to save, I'm quitting every couple of hours to make sure I don't lose much progress.

I also have the new Sims expansion on the go but I plan to get some proper console action in. I want to play L.A. Noire again as I went through it too quickly (I will be thinking about how I can't wait for GTA V though. I have such a bad habit of playing the same game over and over again though, I need to play something I have that is new.

As usual I'm still playing tetris, cartridge I received with the gameboy I got in 1999 but I don't know where that gameboy is so I'm using a GBA. Still a great game though!

He's right as rain now, actually sat playing Lego Batman 2 with his brother at the minute

Recently played through Portal 2, Crysis 3, Phantom Breaker BG, JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, Hydrophobia, KOFXIII.

Playing RE: Code Veronica X atm, finished my first playthrough and getting ready for an A rank run! (4.30 hours, no heal sprays, no saves)

Gonna get BioShock Infinite on release I think!
