I'm not going to argue with a guy clutching an axe!
You've made a few interesting points there though, American wrestling wise...

Red Dead online is funny at times. You can walk up to other players and tell them that you've "f**ked their Sister!" Another classic line would be: "Were your parents Brother and Sister?" And one more: "If I was that ugly, I'd kill myself". Awesome...

Not on topic here but I mean, back in the days of Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, Diesel, HBK when he was actually good, Triple H as the blueblood Hunter Hearst Helmsley character and the Undertaker as an actual old western type character, that was entertaining as it was like watching a real life version of a comic book with all of the ridiculous characters. Yeah, it may have been stupid etc. But I find I still go back to those days and can sit through the PPV's etc. even though some of them are well known to be diabolically bad, just because I find them to be so entertaining with the characters and gimmicky matches/storylines alone.

Now it's just John Cena wrestling as himself, he was alright when he used to do the rapping stuff in like 2003 but as soon as he became 'over' they made him drop all of that for some reason, and it seems stupid as it was the only entertaining part of his character.

I know what you mean Line Six, and would only say check out IWA MS or CZW and their Tournament of Death and King of the Deathmatches for a real stiff hardcore alternative , though be warned, these matches are very bloody and injuries are quite common with light tubes being the favoured weapon and dont carry big stories, mainly just 'heel' or 'face' .(one guy i've been in touch with got over 100 stitches in 1 match due to light tubes)
I've spoke via different ways to alot of the US Deathmatch wrestlers and although they'd love to end up in WWE they hate the way its watering down the content both in and outside the ring , and see TNA as a better mainstream alternative .

The Hulk Hogan fronted fed TNA are very storyline driven, have good characters from the original ECW (Raven Sabu, RVD etc) and WCW (Sting, Nash, etc) as well as skilled hot women wrestlers and a good home bred high flying X division with a few ex WWE stars to boot.(Flair, J Hardy, Anderson etc) Theres also a bit of blood and T & A so its aimed at the 20 plus group.

The Internet helped kill Kayfabee , with wrestlers finding it impossible to maintain their character and storylines being spread via dirt sheets long before the show aired in various areas , plus us wrestling fans are 'smart' now and not the 'marks' we used to be so the WWE have gone PG and are aiming more for 12 year olds and daddys wallet, hence the push of characters like Cena etc, and the change from 'Wrestling' to Sports Entertainment.

Sorry for going Off Topic guys.

Which is why I don't watch modern wrestling, even TNA I find dull.

I've seen a lot of that hardcore wrestling stuff quite a few years back, but it gets boring very fast to be honest. Theres only so many times you can see someone being put through a flaming table or hit with a light tube thing before it becomes old.

Nowadays I usually just buy comps of certain wrestlers, like, I have a Bruiser Brody comp, which is superb as it has pretty much every match he wrestled (well, the ones that were on film). I also have a bunch of Raw yearly comps from the early to mid 90's, basically an entire years worth of Raw for like 1993, 1994 etc. Best way to do it now, more interesting than anything being shown on television or otherwise nowadays.

Ok, back on topic. I plan on picking up Fallout: New Vegas this weekend, as I really enjoyed Fallout 3 so I would assume this is going to be more of the same which isn't a bad thing.

Most Previews i've read on it Line Six say that it is more of the same and thats its main problem as times hve moved on and its starting to look dated and clunky. (Not my words or opinion)
I have seen several promo and gameplay vids and I thought it looked pretty cool .

I never played F3 though i'd love to , but the leveling up and points get me confused . I cant figure how , when and what to do. That lock on shooting system looked awesome though.

Is it a whole new game and story that you can just jump right into or do you need to have played F3 to understand how Vegas works.?

From RWC to PORN within a few clicks. Nice. A bit of porn won't harm you mate....

There's some good Wrestling chat going on here tonight, though most of it is over my head, to be honest. Like I said before, it's been years since I last watched it properly. It's a great thread this though, A lot of talk about games, and some other stuff here in the mix too. Possibly my favourite thread, as I seem to spend the most time on here. Funny really, as this is a cult movie forum...

Though there's only so much I can say about Zombies, etc...lol
