Default First Person Shooters (FPS) (Gaming)

From 90's classics like WOLFENSTEIN 3D, DOOM & DUKE NUKEM 3D to more recent stuff like HALF LIFE 2 & RAGE the FPS shooter is my favourite genre in gaming.

What are your favourites?

My favourites were the original Alien Trilogy game and the Medal of Honor games for the PS1.

Brilliant stuff.

Forgot about ALIEN TRILOGY! Great game

There was also ALIEN RESURRECTION for the PS1 which was really advanced for the console. Very, very hard though!

Apart from the ridiculously addictive Goldeneye 64, I was never really interested in first person shooter games. They always got too repetitive too quickly. Nothing beat the perverse pleasure in manufacturing horrific roller coaster disasters from building the track wrong in Rollercoaster Tycoon . . .

I love all the DOOM games and most of the Call of Duty's too, do the 2 Left4Dead games count, if so then they're definitely my favourites?

Medal of Honor: Frontline for the PS2 was an absolute classic. For the Xbox 360 you can't beat Bioshock, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Halo 3 and Call of Duty World at War (especially Nazi Zombies). I also enjoyed Redsteel for the Wii although the sword fighting sections were very frustrating.

This fella was a real bastard in Doom. One blast and you were starting the level again.

Yeah, there's a level in one of them (can't remember which) where there's two of the bastards to fight at once!
