I just bought PC Final Doom for £5.99 from the site 'Steam'.

I'd never heard of it until earlier this afternoon and I wish I'd knew about it sooner! So many great titles on there (Max Payne 1 - 3, Resi 5 & Operation Raccoon City, all the GTA's up to part IV, Quake, Wolfenstein,) that I'm going to have to buy.

Welcome to Steam

Bought DEAD RISING 2:OFF THE RECORD and CATHERINE in the Blockbusters game sale £9.98 each.

Welcome to Steam

Steam is great, best thing to do is wait for sales, you get 3 or 4 a year and can pick up some very good bargains.GTA bundle in a sale (7 games) under a tenner.
Bought torchlight 2 good game if you like hack'n'slash

Managed to find this online pretty cheap well not cheap for a 3 or so year old game but the 360 version seem pretty rare and expensive. Loved it on PS2 so has to have it for 360.

Just bought STREETS OF RAGE from Steam for £1.99.

Haven't played it since my Megadrive broke about 15 years ago.

i'd never buy a football game at full price (aka FIFA 13) because when 2014 turns up its already out of date and selling for a lot less then £45

Rik 1st October 2012 08:53 PM

Banjo & Kazooie:Nuts and Bolts on the Xbox 360 for my kids, haven't played it myself but they love it(although, being a 1 player game, it causes a few arguments!)

I remember back in the days when there was no online gaming so they had to make the 1 player story mode meaty and a decent length.

Why?

I'm in a dilemma. I've been waiting for it all summer, and liked the demo.
But a couple of weeks back I ended up buying FIFA 09 (360) for a quid in CEX. I had never played it, and wasn't a big fan of 10 or 11, and so expected to hate it, but I really love the gameplay. On full manual (Well shooting on semi) it's the most balanced FIFA I've played, the computer doesn't just counter attack and score 1 on 1's like most of the FIFA games I've played.
The outdated teams only bother me playing with some of the premiership teams, but I can easily update them myself. And as I've seen so many people moaning about the new game, I'm weary of spending £40 on a game, when I've already got a football game I'm really enjoying at the moment.

The trick is selling it during the summer, but then that makes the wait for the next game even harder!
I did that with the last PES game and got a good price for it.

Apart from cheap and nasty tycoon games and the Leisure Suit Larry collection :o the last game I bought was Lollipop Chainsaw. I rarely buy new games on release unless they're under £20.

It's pretty good, it looks good, it's fun but it's a pretty short game. I wouldn't quite say style over substance, I could be just too used to sandbox style games. I would recommend it, but I wouldn't pay too much for it. I bought it on release for £17.99.

I played it when it first came out and then wanted to save the rest of the game for later so haven't played it since as it did seem like I was just working my way through it too quickly. I think I'm going to have to bring it down to the den to play while I'm off and now I've completed Portal fully.

That's pretty decent, I can't even afford that at the moment, hopefully they'll still have it for that next month!
