GAMESTOP are offering the new designed XBox 360 for £100 (RRP £199.99) if you trade in the Elite model 360.
Im not sure if this is a bargain as apart from its new shiny , leaner look and Wi Fi , theres not really enough reason to part with any X360 , especially the Elite to get the new model .
X360 KINECT is compatible with all current 360 models , the only advantage is the 250GB hardrive and new fan system on the new model , which would benifit Arcade and Premium (20GB) owners, but at £40 trade in for an Arcade model, you'd still need to fork out another £159.99 for basically the same games console with added Wi Fi .
Several add on 360 external 250GB Hardrive's are available for the 360 and cost around £60 mark .

For sure, IF your thinking of replacing your old Arcade or Premium 360 cos its on its seen better days, then the new model's the one to go for, but do think twice about giving up your Elites in schemes like this as theres really no need to.

Namco and Capcom are to put out not 1 but 2 Street Fighter v Tekken games.
One game will be made by Capcom and feature the SF fighters and Tekken fighters and will use Capcom's Street Fighter game engine whilst the Namco version will feature the same Tekken and Street Fighter fighters but will run on the 3D Tekken game engine.

Another fighter heading to consoles is Marvel v Capcom 3 . The last game to be released in the this popular 2D fighting game series was Marvel v Capcom 2 , 10 years ago on Sega's Dreamcast.

Add to those a new MORTAL KOMBAT game due out also next year and 2011's looking good for console owning fight fans.

EA sent me the latest gameplay vid's for NFS Hot Pursuit and the games looking awesome.
Vid 1 shows a standard race with Cop chase against the CPU A.I. with a Porsche 911 while vid 2 shows gameplay from the Cop point of veiw, were you can lay stingers and have to take down illegal street racers.
The 3rd vid shows Online play which works similar to BurnOut - Paradise City , just pause the Single Player game , check the map to see who's online and challenge them to a race or hunt them as a Cop , no menu's or leaving the game to go online , just pause then play.

The graphics are excellent , much better than any NFS game so far and probably the best yet for any Racer on any console to date , and the open world environment's look gorgous and stay true to the original 3DO game with city, mountain and costal roads to race on.

The cars run very fast and give a great sense of speed with no dip in framerate when the screen gets crowded , or pop up visible.

Overall NFS Hot Pursuit is looking to be a 'must buy' for any race fans come November and is available now to Pre Order now....(I pre ordered mine from GAME who are offering extra reward points)

EA have dropped NBA Live. Instead they'll be releasing a new B'ball game called NBA Elite.

NBA Live had been losing out to 2K Sports NBA 2K Basketball franchise since the move to PS3 / 360 but made a comeback last year when NBA Live's dev team was boosted by ex members from the 2K dev team , and put out an excellent , if slightly basic , B'ball game with NBA Live 2010 .
The team working on this years version have put that many new features and gameplay additions into the game they basically created an entire new game, so EA decided to drop the Live title and put out a new franchise to push the new game , hence NBA Elite .

Elite looks similar to Live graphically but has loads more animatorn's, an all new control system , as well as new phsyic's routines and gameplay additions that really do justify the new name , as it is a completely different game from Live and not just a marketing ploy going by the demomstration and features guide that I saw.

Definetly one to look out for if like me your a fan of the NBA. (out Oct)

Currently playing KANE & LYNCH 2.

Everyone seems to be slagging it off but I like what I've played of it so far.

Im stuck on getting Kane & Lynch 2 or Mafia 2.

Both games Demo's sold the games well imho and were great fun to play, but the comments of play time of just over 4 hours for Kane & Lynch on several good game sites has sortta put me of it.
I've a few Pre Order's due out within the next few weeks so im not really in a hurry so i'll maybe wait and pick them both up when the price drop's.

THQ have added an RPG eliment to SVR11 that will provide sub quests in the new free roaming backstage area in the popular ' Road to Wrestlemania ' part of the game.
They also anounced a 70 plus roster, , Carear mode, Manager style eliments, a bigger Cell in proportion to the real one, with weapons under the apron and breakable sides.

The 'Blood' in the game will now be optional to suit the WWE's PG direction though with the new move sets for each wrestler allowing them to use finisher and signature moves from the top of ladders, the Cell etc, the violence is more realistic and the game will carry a Teen rating.

The big selling point though is still real time physics .
Real time physics for objects have been added for the first time to a SVR game allowing tables to break differently according to how and at what angle the wrestler lands on them , ladders will now buckle if set across the ropes and a wrestler is slammed on them and chairs will also buckle according to how they're used and can now be thrown without going to a cut scene.
Used and broken weapons will now also remain in the ring and not disappear when broken until the maximun number has been met then they'll fade away one at a time to make room for each new weapon brought into play.

The Online Play has been fixed but thats all THQ will say on that . They will make a final anouncment detailing everthing about the game before its Oct 26th release.

Oh, THQ have listened to fans input and as a result the chairs will be black this year and not the usual outdated blue.

For full details and vids check out the SVR Comunity over at THQ .

CodeMasters have published a list of 'fixes' to their F1 2010 game , PS3 / 360 version, Codies said that they have looked into reports from players and are currently working on a Patch to rectify issues brought to their notice .
A full statement from the company detailing what the Patch is for can be found on the CM site (Racing Section, F1 2010 Forum).

CodeMasters are pretty good at listening to gamers regarding CM products and Patches to previous games including DIRT were due to feedback from players and from the DIRT Comunity Forums.
