The Arch-Vile's which first appear in DOOM 2 are worse imo. One blast of their flame can take 93% health and they can reanimate dead enemies. There is a level in FINAL DOOM (L11: Hunted) which contains no other monsters except them. They weren't included in the PS or N64 versions because the developers said they couldn't do them justice on a console. (they are on the Xbox edition)

There are two hidden levels in The Plutionia Missions for FINAL DOOM and one contains 4 and the other has 13!

They are: Level: 31: Cyberden & Level 32: Go 2 It.

Before you start each level the following messages appear:

You've found the second-hardest level we got. Hope you have a saved game a level or two previous. If not, be prepared to die aplenty. For master Marines only.

That's the ones, I only ever beat them levels by cheating!

I could do the first one but not second. Amazingly, someone did 'Go 2 It' without cheats:

I can't remember what it was (a glitch in the game probably) but i'm sure Level 32 had a place you could stand / hide where you could kill them but they always failed to hit you.

This has whetted my appetite now, i may have to dig out Final Doom tomorrow and play it again.

I'm currently installing the DOOM Collector's Edition on my PC, which contains all 3 original games, I hope they bloody work as I've never put them on this PC!
