I ordered French zombie flick The Horde from an online retailer but they sent me Devil by mistake. I know nothing about Devil, however reading the sleeve it sounds pretty good.

Should i keep Devil and reorder The Horde or go throught he hassle of returns etc?

Devil's enjoyable enough and worth a watch but I don't know if you'd watch it again. It feels like an extended version of The Twilight Zone but without the rewatchability factor. I guess it depends on how much you paid for it really. It is an enjoyable, and sometimes gripping, hour and a half though. Hope this helps! Probably not :)

To be honest I thought The Horde was one of the best zombie films I've seen. The best of the modern zombie films and easily in my top ten zombie films of all time.

Thanks for the reply Paul.

It was only £3.50. I think i will probably re order The Horde and keep Devil.

Saves the hassle of sending it back for a replacement.

I loved it mate. Gorey, violent, nicely shot, well acted and funny too. Top notch stuff. In fact now we're talking about it again I'll have to give it a second spin soon to see if it remains as good in my eyes. I do have a thing for French films though so maybe I'm unintentionally biased but I just seem to "get" them, if that makes sense?

@BE, "Kiss Me Deadly" is one of my favourite noirs.

I'm with you on this one. Every French horror from the last ten years has been realy good - From Haute Tension through Satan up to Frontiers, Martyrs and Mutants. and many more inbetween.

Wise decision. You'll probably only watch Devil once or twice, but The Horde is one to stick on any time you want a tense, violent gory and action packed zombie movie which could really be three times a week!

£3.50 is a great price for each disc and, as you say, it's much easier to buy the one you wanted in the first place then go through the replacement hassle.

from TLA Video who seem to specialise in cult films and gay porn apparently

It was only $5.99 so even though shipping was $6 I got 10% off with it being my first order so it only came to about £7 in total
