Agreed PR. A cracking haul there.

MuckyFunster 27th October 2015 10:54 PM

Today I bought 7 Windows and two doors. Absolutely scunnered. Phoning to cancel first thing in the morning. My heads burst after the 3 hours long sales pitch and all the tactics. Gas bill probably sky high after all the coffee he drank! [emoji107]🏼

Never known anyone post about buying doors and windows (unless they laugh) on here before. ;)

I should've been laughing at the sales pitch! But no. Hook line and sinker! Lol.

I hope you don't post tomorrow about buying solar panels and a new boiler.

I caved.

A few points though. Those bloody ugly ratings logos on the reverse art! Plus, they're huge!

Oh, and apparently Game Of Death is an upscale.

Fist of Fury has 2 mono Cantonese tracks instead a Mandarin one. Shout Factory botched theirs too but repressed the disc. Not sure how Mediumrare managed to drop the ball (no quality control I guess).

Some people are reporting The Big Boss freezing before the menu and having to use their remotes to get past it.

Payday purchases. Heads up as well, Goblin have cancelled their Manchester Gig, refunded the tickets but hotel booked! Looks like I shall be heading to the printworks to see what's on at the Odeon. At least the Halloween night double of The Burbs and The Adams Family is still playing.

It's weird about this, because I was at the Albert Hall in Manchester last night which is run by the same promoters as Gorilla and they still had the Goblin posters up everywhere, it was only when I went on the site to book tickets I could see it was no longer happening.

There is a new date for the show in March which is good, it's on a Wednesday night which makes it easier to get back home too!

Managed to get my hands on it. Had to ring HMV at opening time and ask them to put it aside for me. They only had 4 copies in and had all been sold or put aside by about half 9

Edit: no idea why it's on it's side again. Stupid bloody iPhone

Nordicdusk 28th October 2015 09:33 AM

Hope zavvi send mine today if I have any chance of having it by the weekend

Justin101 28th October 2015 10:09 AM

My amazon order says 'Dispatching Now' it's been a tense couple of days hoping that Amazon hadn't over-sold pre-orders like they have done on the odd occasion before.

Justin101 28th October 2015 10:27 AM

...and I haven't technically bought this yet, but I pre-registered for the Harry Potter west-end play which went on pre-sale today. They did this really annoying thing where they randomised the queue for buying tickets and my queue number was 18445... Guess I wont be going to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child until sometime at the end of next year :(

Demdike@Cult Labs 28th October 2015 11:48 AM

I'm tempted to get that and have it framed as they do with gold records. It's superb.

Demoncrat 28th October 2015 11:56 AM

It is a unique looking object.

Ahem.
Bought Never Too Young To Rock (Dennis Abey, 1976) The Odeon release. It is sadly a Xmas present...for someone else.

trebor8273 28th October 2015 12:39 PM

Well just had an email from Amazon say they had a problem with my order of Hellraiser set and it's been canceled. To my surprise I'm not as bothered as I should be

Antropophagus 28th October 2015 12:43 PM

You'd have only ended up selling it on here anyway ;)

Nordicdusk 28th October 2015 02:13 PM

Keep checking my bank account to see if zavvi have taken the money for hellraiser no luck so far trying not to get worried.

That's how I looked at it.

Nordicdusk 28th October 2015 02:55 PM

I'm surprised I have not heard anything from Zavvi they emailed me three times about Deep Red not getting shipped. But all quite on this.

J Harker 28th October 2015 04:32 PM

So am i right in thinking the only one of us that has so far got there copy of Hellraiser is Paul who didn't actually preorder it but went and bought it in HMV?

Sam 28th October 2015 05:36 PM

£2 from Cash Generator, mixed reviews but got to be worth a go for a couple of quid ...

I thought it was pants, with Julianne Moore giving an uncharacteristically poor performance, but I hope Sam enjoys it!

Sam 28th October 2015 06:53 PM

Like I say, mixed reviews 😁!! Will let you know which side of the fence I'm on

3 orders off .co.uk marketplace. Manos can only be found searching HANDS OF FATE for some odd reason and now seems to have sold out. Most likely will reappear.

Justin101 29th October 2015 08:19 AM

Hellraiser arriving today, had a dispatch email from Amazon in the wee hours - panic over now, although Arrow went to Facebook to quash the rumours that Amazon had over sold.

Oh, and I got Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tickets after all, going in August!
