They're thinking man's films!

Splinter is indeed excellent; ditto The Descent.

Didn't think much of Land, myself though.

Hmm!

I like Land and you don't.

You must be a thinking man like Nos.

I think, therefore I'm damned.

Nah, it's just a case of 'different strokes for different folks'.

(Tarkovsky's Solaris is my all-time favourite film though. :tongue1:)

I actually was referring to the Clooney film.

Never seen the original.

Ah, well that's a different matter!

I'm completely with you on disliking that one... although I have a strong suspicion that you may not like the original either! ;)

That Burning poster is fantastic.

I'm lucky that I don't have the wall space for posters at the moment, otherwise I'd definitely end up splurging some serious cash on some of these beauties.

That is a great piece of artwork and one which would look great framed on my wall. I'll have to check out the website for their range and prices!

I didn't like the Soderbergh remake of Solaris but, like bizarre_eye said, you probably wouldn't like Tarkovsky's film if you don't really care much for Kubrick's seminal science-fiction masterpiece!

I'm not knocking you for liking Starship Troopers and Serenity as I really like both as Paul Verhoeven manages to make action movies with mass appeal with political subtext which some will get and others won't and Josh Weedon's feature film follow-up to Firefly is one of the most engaging, beautifully written, stylishly directed action/science fiction films of the fledgeling 21st century.

They're limited edition screen prints, range between $40 and $100 depending on number produced (normally under 300 though). They sell out normally in literally seconds, so you have to be fast! These might take a little longer as they're releasing 4 in one day. Follow them on Twitter (MondoNews ) to get the on sale announcement. the Akira print they dis fetches nearly $1000 on ebay, and a complete Star Wars bounty hunter set recently sold for $4000!

Thanks for the info. I've started following them on Twitter and will have a look at what they have on offer and for how much.
