The Horde and Stake Land are superb! A Prophet I didn't like as much as I'd hoped, a bit.... meh really (if that makes any sense). Haven't seen the others yet

The retreat is an entertaining thriller in the mould of early polanski, three people in a house and its riveting, personally I thought it was great.

Just bought this for less than £9.00 inc postage, but as today is the last day for Xmas posting won't get it yet.

I've just put my £20 HMV e-voucher to good use:

Some really good stuff there. Of the ones I've seen, they are either really good or superb (A Prophet is brilliant).

But when it comes to steelbooks I used to go "oh it's okay, haven't quite got the money now, I'll just pick it up later at some point" then to find that it goes for 2-3 times the RRP so I've decided to say F*@K it and just get what I want now. I'm using my holiday savings but I thought with Xmas and my Birthday coming up over the next fortnight I may get spending money from friends and family instead to replace what I've used. :tongue1:

Us junkies always say we're gonna quit...

I don't how many times I've said I'm not going to buy anything else this month and then something is released or shows up at a bargain price which I just can't refuse!

I think a DVD/BD junkie will never be able to quite as, unlike booze or cigarettes, new ones are always released, re-released or show up at a price to which you can't say 'No'.

That's the bottom line. A never ending parade of glittering platters too irresistible to refuse. I constantly try to formulate a plan to quit but it never happens. I guess we could be hooked on gear or degenerate gamblers, so it's not that bad in the grand scheme of things.

You do find that space is a big consideration though.
