My finacee grabbed me copies of Di Leo's Loaded Guns Synapse's two disc Blue Sunshine, Franco's Venus in Furs and the first two Coffin Joe movies for X-Mas. :happy:

Had a good charity shop haul yesterday (well, by Huddersfield standards at least) and picked up Beyond Reanimator, The Dead, Snuff Movie and Drag Me To Hell. Also got The Man With The Severed Head in the Arrow sale.

Just had these dropped through the door within the last fortnight. :popcorn:

I got my first BD on saturday, the US release of Maniac Cop. While being my first ever BD, I wasn't very impressed with the picture quality. Was better than DVD, sure, but I expected more. :)

Nice to see the film again, though. Forgot most of it as it had been years since I watched it.

I haven't seen that movie on blu-ray so i don't know if it's a good or bad release but i can ensure you that you will be very satisfied with your new player when you have bought some more films.

I think my expectations were just a little high. In the reviews that I read it was acknowledged that the picture quality was (very) good. Thanks for the recommendation though. Next up will be the Stendhal Syndrome-BD. Another movie that I like a lot.
