Todays purchases from HMV and CEX

gag 9th July 2019 01:01 PM

Original IT and banged up , £1 each from charity shop.

Slightly off topic.

I don't read because I have lack of patient etc, sometimes I wish I could because it wouldn't take long to get most Stephen king books always seeing them in bookstalls, car boots, charity shops .

Yep, he can take 50 pages to describe something that any other author could do in a couple of paragraphs.

The last one i read, actually a few years ago now, was Island, loved that, went in a very weird direction in the second half.

I have a few hardbacks i haven't read. I should pick up all the rest really as well.

As I'm nearing the end of the third season of Fear The Walking Dead and will shortly have the seventh season of The Walking Dead to buy (I'll then buy the eighth season), I bought the fourth season of FTWD so I can coordinate the two shows and eventually get up-to-date.

It’s really good, first 4 seasons are on Amazon Prime or Netflix, can’t remember which  definitely worth a watch, the latest season (5) is fantastic

As you can probably guess by the fact I've bought the fourth season together with the other three, I really like it and rate it very highly. If this makes any sense, it is similar but different to The Walking Dead and, if the cast and artwork for the fourth season is anything to go by, there will be a crossover which should be interesting.

If you liked the early seasons of The Walking Dead, you should definitely watch Fear the Walking Dead.

Just don't think they make films at all like they use to.

nosferatu42 11th July 2019 10:56 PM

They make films but it's all committee shite these days, too much money involved, no one seems to have total control, or freedom to do what they want.

At the same time original low budget productions are trying to ape studio shit to make money. I guess 70's films followed the trend to a certain extent but at least a lot of stuff was more innovative as regards to idea's and cinematography/ editing/soundtrack wise.

Mine took 5 days to arrive. I was the same, email on the Wednesday to say it had been sent, so when it hadn’t even arrived by the Saturday, I was a little annoyed.

I still watch it, but Fear isn’t what it used to be. It’s turned into a clone of it’s parent show now (which I think is a bad thing), right down to following a character for an episode, then another, etc, meaning that like TWD, only a few months will have taken place over the course of about 2 seasons. Not to mention the fact that they’ve now made Morgan the star of Fear [emoji107]
