Some of the conventions of anime can be a little off-putting to horror buffs, animes always been another of my interests alongside horror and anime, mainly because these things can feature a lot in good quality anime. trouble is it makes collecting even more expensive!

I actually forgot to mention the alltime horror classic hellsing

Most of the Chinese movies I watch have Cantonese audio, but there are a few exceptions where there's a better quality edition with only Mandarin audio instead of the original Cantonese.
I also don't understand Cantonese btw. :)

Maybe Cantonese would be the way to go as that would mean being able to watch those myriad Hong Kong without subtitles, something which would come in very handy for those discs which aren't particularly well subtitled.

Only got the first one, but think it's a great take on the vampire myth. They just look so good. Vicious too. Heard the sequel was pants, but I'm gonna get it before too long.

I think 30 Days of Night is a terrific vampire movie, but Dark Days was a real letdown. It's not terrible by any means, but it's just mediocre. The disc is pretty good though.

Apparently Cantonese is ridiculously difficult to master...and I'd like to improve my Italian first anyway... ;)
I was riding the bus with an Italian girl yesterday (She's from a HP call center down the road) and I realized my Italian still needed plenty of work,we both had a good laugh though.
Most of the English subs on HK dvd's are good or ok (with a little imagination),only some are really bad.

My Kolchak boxset finally arrived, 16 hours of awesomeness!
Shame they've ruined the artwork with the 'contains 5 discs' badge though.

Play.com indicates it's a 3-disc set.Is it an error?

Paul@TheOverlook 2nd March 2012 12:23 PM
