Avoid the Optimum release, as it features the shorter G-rated US print. The US Anchor Bay DVD is the longer original UK cinema version.

I'm afraid Optimum dropped the ball on this one. :ohwell:

Bridge too Far is Awesome. Good choice.

It was only £7.99 in HMV :thumb:

Absolutely agree. Along with Cross Of Iron it's among the best of the 70's WW2 films.

"Saw 6" - (Screw those Roman numerals)

Seeing as I hadn't been in an HMV for a couple of years, I took a trip to town today:

Ratman
Manhattan Baby

Set of High Plains Drifter, Joe Kidd and The Beguiled (been meaning to replace my VHS versions of all three for AGES, and this was only £7!)

Then in a charity shop on the way home I found

The Haunting ie The Terror (:dog:)
The Man With The Golden Arm (still sealed!)
and one of those Prism double disks of Howling III (Mmmmmm...Imogen Annesley!) and Children Of The Living Dead both of which add up to a lot of trash for 99p!
